RESERVATIONS ESSENTIAL
In creating this menu our first consideration is to the cuisine, followed by the aphrodisiacal qualities of the ingredients and last but not least we have fun with the presentation. As far as we know, no one else has attempted to do this commercially.
We can set the stage but only you can make this a magical evening. The seating has been limited so that the atmosphere is more intimate. Eat what you can but do not overeat. It is a well known fact that good wines will enhance the appetite and stimulate the mind whereas cheap liquor can do the opposite. Remember the ALCB now allows you take home an unfinished bottle of wine as long as it is recorked and out of reach in your vehicle.
Have a good time, laugh, relax and look deep into the soul of your partner.
The Menu
Fruit de Mer
Oysters served in a half shell with rye bread and a piquant Japanese sauce reputed to enhance the aphrodisiacal qualities of the Oyster. I know some of you are reluctant to eat raw Oysters. Please leave your prejudices behind and any bad experience you had with sub quality Oysters. These extraordinary Pacific Rim Oysters are unlike the common large oysters which are good for cooking only. The are far superior to Malpecs. They are fresh, firm, chewy and bursting with the flavour of the ocean.. Fit for a king.
I recommend the following consumption: Raise the half shell to your mouth and with a piece of rye bread push the Oyster and the sauce into your mouth. Close your eyes and chew slowly, enjoying the amazing fresh seafood flavour that will infuse your whole being. Do not be embarrassed if you shudder in delight and ecstasy. Calm yourself and have a sip of dry crisp white wine and enjoy the exhilarating combination of sea and wine.
Are Oysters an aphrodisiac? All literature, even the skeptics agree that Oysters have some affect on our vitality. Where there is smoke there usually is fire and some say the fires of passion burn fiercely after ingesting Oysters. Even though men seem to benefit more than women it is recommended for both.
Magic Yam Soup
A thick, spicy and creamy soup made from yams, onions, cream and a special East Indian spice blend. Yams are used to manufacture Testosterone hormones for human use. The spices, especially the capsicum will fire off a few endomorphins. This is a wonderful combination both gastronomically and to charge the apparatus of love.
Venus’s Love Melon
An audacious presentation of Proscutio, musk melon, roasted red peppers, strawberries on a bed of exotic pea sprouts served with a aged balsamic dressing. Whilst I cannot honestly say that any ingredient is an aphrodisiac the visual will get your attention.
Passion Fruit and Champagne Sorbet
The orchids and the Cape Gooseberry are both edible. The Cape gooseberry has a phenomenal flavour. The orchid because of it’s shape has aphrodisiacal qualities attributed to it.
Mis en Garde
Medallions of Lamb Loin dressed with a tapinade of sun dried tomatoes, olives and herbs and impudently arranged on a plate of baby vegetables. Our lamb is cooked to medium only. Well done meat is heavy and brutal on the digestive system whereas, rare meat has the opposite effect and vitalizes as well. Zucchini is considered an aphrodisiac because of it’s shape.
The Royal Salute.
Strawberry cheese cake, Banana stuffed with almonds, fresh strawberries, melted chocolate and the dish says it all. This dessert is large and it is to be shared with your partner.
